I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex twice unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
